Line Leader

New Line Leader LP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Philly's Line Leader recently shared its new, full-length album, Houses of Water. One enters a multifaceted, mysterious, head-trippy, musical mission. An array of sonic textures creates a fluid, ever-evolving atmosphere - one that floats in a dreamy manner at one moment and then transitions into a more volatile, urgent heaviness in the next. That unpredictable, shape-shifting nature compels the listener to remain alert around each and every bend. (Photo by Kayla McCaney)

Weekend Warrior, February 1 - 3

In stark contrast to the frigid force that currently occupies the outdoors, the garage-surf quartet of Blushed creates an inviting, somewhat humid, melodic atmosphere – one that sinks into your skin like the breeze off the water as the temperature rises. There’s a tranquilizing yet combustible nature, reminding you that the mesmerizing glow of the candlelight is capable of causing serious damage at any moment. Tonight at the Music Ward, they’ll be joined by the garage-psych torrent of Line Leader. Welding emotively-laced lyrics and also exhibiting a carefree side, Canine 10 is enthusiastically engaging, while the tumultuous, jangly-emotive, surf-rock haze of Asbury Park trio Dentist completes this lineup. New Line Leader LP Available for Streaming & Download

Wilt, the freshly released LP from Line Leader, rattles the sonic cage. Produced by Kevin Brusha, the band cultivates an unabashed, cosmic-transmitted series of songs. Purposely jarring as the menacing, musical torrent takes on the obstacles lying within its path, a Tasmanian devil of unified sound ravages your being. Line Leader unapologetically melds the noise of raw material with a distinct, melodic core. (Photo by Stavi Xinou)

New Track: "Bubblegum" - Line Leader

Below is a new lo-fi, garage-pop ditty from Line Leader called "Bubblegum". The warm, breezy melody harkens to a simpler time, while the lyrics hint at a shadowier tale. Relationships get complicated.

New Video: NEST FEST 2 (Documentary)

Documentary filmmaker Matthew Yeandel recently shared his latest project with co-conspirators Ben Cohen and Deanna Brown - Bahama Jeff Productions. Nest Fest 2 captures the gritty, creative and supportive nature of Philly DIY space The Nest by taking us into their now annual blow out. You'll find local artists Line Leader, RFA, Husky Bundles, and many others sharing their music and experiences. House resident and fest co-organizer Joey eloquently reveals, "I want people to come here and see what we do, and I want it to influence them enough to a point where they feel genuinely impacted." Much love to The Nest and the rest of Philly's DIY community for helping to make our music scene so rad! (Photo by Lina Xinos)
