Show you don't want to miss at Webster Hall on April 10th with Lucius and Caveman (both bands graced our rag's cover in the Spring 2012 issue and the Summer 2012 respectively, see pictures). Caveman's debut album is a beautiful psych pop gem that Pi(a)tchfork managed to ignore, triggering fury and disconcert at The Deli's headquarters - BS we say! The band's sophomore, self-titled full length was released yesterday under Fat Possum's wing - may this propel Caveman to the interstellar overdrive stardom they deserve! What can we say about Lucius that we haven't said already? One of the best live shows and two of the best voices in town, even NY Times political opinionist/economist Paul Krugman agrees... be there.

It's always interesting to see what great backing musicians and songwriters are able to do once they've decided to take the reins to their own project in hand, and start baking their own jams. 23 year old Yale composition graduate Ellis Ludwig-Leone couldn't come better equipped for the adventure. Coming off work for Nico Muhly, through whom he has assisted on arrangements for musicians like Sufjan Stevens, his group San Fermin includes these symphonic influences and more.

Oh.. and he just happens to have enlisted the ladies from Lucius to help out, who if you don't know yet, may have the strongest voices of anyone in Brooklyn. Leading new single 'Sonsick,' off the upcoming self-titled debut, enlists Jess and Holly to take the song through the roof. Make no mistake. This is some big stuff right here. While the song begins simply enough, once the hook comes in, you should be prepared to get carried away. San Fermin's about as ambitious as I would hope for such a young songwriter, and I'm excited to see them when they play 92YTribeca next month on Jan 19th with Anais Kane. - Mike Levine (@Goldnuggets)

Dream-pop duo Savoir Adore announced that their sophomore album "Our Nature" will be released on October 16, and took the opportunity to promote two NYC shows this week, one one at Santos Party house on August 2 and the other one at the Ditmas Sanctuary Series (83 Marlborough Road Brooklyn) on August 5 with Lucius - the latter will be an acoustic performance.

On related but separate news, Savoir singer's solo project debuted the new name "Deidre and The Dark" (it used to be just "Deidre" - check out a video here) at Glasslands on July 25 with Fast Years, with whom they share a light harted approach to pop, with doo-wop and bubble gum influences.
