Nothing

Video Premiere: Tired of Tomorrow (Nothing Documentary - Part III)

We absolutely LOVE documentaries. If you've been keeping up with your daily Deli news, then you've probably been following along, as we have, with Nothing on their journey to complete their forthcoming album Tired of Tomorrow, through its complementary six-part documentary, directed by Don Argott, who also brought us the highly informative The Art of the Steal. (BTW: Fuck The Barnes Foundation!) The grainy black & white footage in the first episode shows frontman Nicky Palermo taking you on a tour of his Philadelphia and inside Conshohocken's Studio 4, leading into part deux and the introduction of producer extraordinaire Will Yip and Collect Records head honcho and former Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly. It feels painfully awkward as you watch Rickly gush about Nothing and how he's bet the future of his label on the band. Not so spoiler alert, since this documentary is being released by the group's current label Relapse Records, and if you've been following the drama around Collect and its financial backer - dickhead and pharma bro Martin Shkreli, then you'll know why this episode is a bit hard to watch at times. We've been really enjoying the Tired of Tomorrow doc, and we're excited to announce that we've been asked to premiere the final four episodes of Nothing's tumultuous journey to release their new album, coming out May 13. In episode three, you'll find Yip and the band hard at work and play in the studio as the album's first track begins to take shape. Remember to tune back in to see and hear how the rest of Tired of Tomorrow unfolds; you definitely don't want to miss it!

New Video: Tired of Tomorrow (Nothing Documentary - Part II)

Directed by Don Argott, the second installment of Nothing’s Tired of Tomorrow documentary, dips into the recording studio. With an eye on the creative process, band members, as well as producer Will Yip and Collect Records' Geoff Rickly, offer additional insight and info behind the making of the album, which arrives on May 13 via Relapse Records.

Nothing, Nowhere. weaves together various genres in 'Who Are You?'

In a world where the lines between genres keep blurring it’s no surprise when bands or artists create works the defy fitting into any one of them. What is refreshing, though, is when they do it well. Enter Nothing, Nowhere. With self deprecatingly analytical lyrics glazed over with a layer of anger, dreamy reverb guitars, rapping, and samplings from movies and readings Nothing, Nowhere. builds tracks that take cues from emo, indie dream pop, and hip hop. Thus forging an LP (streaming below) that explores love, frustration, religion and loss of faith with an unique style. Keep an eye out on their facebook page for any future concerts.

New Track: "ACD (Abscessive Compulsive Disorder)" - Nothing

Sustained somber and a smattering of the drum skins dictate the tone of “ACD (Abscessive Compulsive Disorder)”, the new single from Philly's own Nothing. Featured on their forthcoming album Tired of Tomorrow, which is scheduled for release on May 13 via Relapse Records, the song carries a meditative yet noisy air, with the injection of an anthemic chorus that burrows in your brain. Nothing is currently scheduled to perform next in Philly on Friday, July 8 at Union Transfer, for a belated record release show, which will also includes Culture Abuse and Mary Lattimore & Jeff Zeigler.

New Video: Tired of Tomorrow (Nothing Documentary - Part I)

Nothing embrace the bleak, grimness of Philly in the first part of their documentary for Tired of Tomorrow. Nicky Palermo’s open honesty, compounded by the desolate feel of black & white footage, provides a sense of truth, which, despite its darkness, is equally refreshing. The video offers a small glimpse into his youth and a behind-the-scenes view of the band's creative process.
