In their debut LP ‘Never Enough,’ NYC’s Public Access TV showcases the ability to re-elaborate several decades of rock’n’roll and pop music into something new and exciting. John Eatherly’s vocals perfectly adapt to each different atmosphere alternating between raucous (in garagey 'Patty Peru - streaming) and bouncy (in '80s influenced 'End of an Era'). Baby Acid is self-described as "grunge-gaze" and it's easy to understand why on a first listen. They blend the fuzzier, harder, heavier elements of grunge with the the reverb-soaked, sound walls and atmospheres of shoegaze to create an entire sonic space.

NYC indie pop quartet Public Access T.V. yesterday unveiled a new track/video combo entitled "In Love And Alone" - streamng below - which will be included in their debut full length, announced for some time in 2016. For those wondering what life in a NYC band is like, the video depicts a typical night in PATV's world. Frontman John Eatherly says: "We filmed this video right after coming back from tour, and when you get home after being together for weeks you think 'I need a break from these guys'... But we always end up just calling each other and hanging out within a couple of hours." That's definitely a good sign! For the last year the band has been touring the US and UK extensively sharing stages with acts such as Weezer, Gang of Four, The Strokes, Wavves, Fidlar, Palma Violets, Twin Peaks, and performing at festivals throughout Europe.  

Hailed by many as "The New Strokes," the guys in NYC's Public Access TV look so young, they were probably toddlers when 'Is This It' came out. However, the only really important thing here is that they can write catchy pop and deliver it with flair. The quartet, after losing home and gear to the recent fire in the East Village, is releasing today this new, vaguely Jesus & Mary Chain-ish single "All We Want" (streaming) from their upcoming, self titled EP on Terrible records, days before leaving for a US tour with Palma Violets. The NYC stop will be at Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 20.

Yo, isn't it a little too early to have "The new Strokes" yet? Maybe it's a question of perceptions: for those who've been listening to indie rock for more than 20 years, the answer may be "yes," but considering how quickly the new generation of NYC musicians is churning through past decades for inspiration, the early aughts are next in line for a revival. The guys in NYC's Public Access TV look so young they were probably toddlers when "Is This It" came out, but the only really important thing here is that they can write very catchy pop songs and deliver them with top notch flair. After touring with Gang of Four and losing home and music gear in the recent explosion in the East Village, the quartet will keep playing around the US in May, touring with Palma Violets. Watch out for a debut EP, to be released soon.
