New Rosali Album Available for Streaming & Purchase

Trouble Anyway, the sophomore album Rosali Middleman, a.k.a. Rosali, recently crept across the horizon. Elegant, hypnotically soulful folk is on full display. With direct, heartfelt songwriting and soothing vocals, she navigates through delicate and treacherous instrumental landscapes, providing a textured and at times, mystical setting, one that is both serene and stirring to the psyche. Tonight, Johnny Brenda’s will be hosting Rosali's album release show, where she'll be supported by Daniel Bachman and Erin Rae.

Rosali Concludes Her Residency at Ortlieb's Dec. 28

Rosali concludes her month-long residency at Ortlieb’s this evening. After a brief reprieve from the bone-chilling canvas of winter, the local singer-songwriter offers soothing clarity in the form of folk-based songs gently gliding over the hillside. On her debut album Out of Love, Rosali's recordings are fueled by floral vocal harmonies and a wandering touch of twang-infused psychedelics. The duo of Kevin Nickles and Daniel Provenzano, also known as The Writhing Squares, will firmly orient their opening set in another world, touching down on intertwining threads of noise-rock, garage, free jazz, etc., while unleashing a sensory-loaded spectrum of space sonics. It's just what you need to get over the final hump of 2016. Ortlieb’s, 847 N. Third St., 8pm, Free, 21+ - Michael Colavita

Rosali Record Release Show at Ortlieb's June 26

Philly singer-songwriter Rosali recently released her debut full-length album Out of Love via well-respected local indie label Siltbreeze. The LP effortlessly flows with her mellifluous vocals and a tinge of psychedelic twang, helping to root her songs in a timeless sonic spectrum. Rosali just came back from a run of shows in the South with Mary Lattimore, and they'll be celebrating Out of Love tonight with a hometown show at Ortlieb's. The tour buddies will also be joined by the garage-pop sounds of Baltimore's Hothead, a.k.a. Laurie Spector. I can't think of a better way to wind down this summer weekend. Ortlieb's, 847 N. 3rd St., 7pm, $10, 21+ - H.M. Kauffman
