In the van, performing on stage, in the studio, shopping, and just getting goofy together, Year Of Glad’s video for “Grass“ offers a myriad of candid touring home-video style imagery. The song found on their new EP I Don’t Know Where I Am Either, released via Lame-O Records, compacts a bright up-tempo yet gritty tone. There’s a lot to look at, but the music and fun shenanigans shine front and center.

Year Of Glad just premiered their new EP I Don't Know Where I Am Either at Brooklyn Vegan. On the follow-up to the band's self-titled debut album, the group seems to be finding its pocket as Mimi Gallagher (Nona) and Chris Diehm (Thin Lips, 1994!), demonstrating a matured balance as they casually take turns on vocals. The four-song EP, which also includes a duet cover of Pearl Jam's "Corduroy," officially comes out this Friday, July 15 via Lame-O Records.

Below is a new track from Year Of Glad called "Keeping A Peace". It's the first single off the band's forthcoming sophomore effort, I Don’t Know Where I Am Either, and all pre-order proceeds are currently being donated to The Center in Orlando "to benefit the victims from the Pulse Night Club shooting and their families." The four-song EP, which will include a cover of Pearl Jam's "Corduroy," was recorded and mixed by Mike Bardzik at Noisy Little Critter, and will be officially released on July 15 via Lame-O Records.

Tonight at Everybody Hits is the long-awaited release show for Thin Lips’ debut LP Riff Hard, coming out via local tastemakers Lame-O Records. Thin Lips are a venerable supergroup of longstanding Philly stalwarts who have hit a sweet spot of triumphant pop rock and confessional, introspective lyrics without sentimentality. Chrissy Tashjian, formerly of Dangerous Ponies and The Bee Team, captains this ship with her commanding, casual, and versatile vocals. The hard riffs are largely courtesy of longtime bandmate Kyle Pulley (ex-Dangerous Ponies) and Chris Diehm, a punk-rock lifer who cut his teeth in Lancaster’s 1994! before coming to Philly and lending his talents to Thin Lips, as well as Year Of Glad. The band is filled out by Mikey Tashjian (The Superweaks, ex-Dangerous Ponies), who shows his ability to shift rhythms and help craft intriguing songs, while maintaining a not-too-serious rock 'n' roll sheen. Celebrating with the Lips will be Casey Magic, Lame-O labelmates Lowercase Roses, folky psych rockers Pine Barons, and Pure Pop, a “new pop-punk trio comprised of Lame-O, Superweaks, and Modern Baseball angel babies.” Everybody Hits, 529 W. Dogs on Acid and Year Of Glad kick off their winter tour with a showing this evening at Ortlieb’s. Dogs On Acid’s self-titled debut is ripe with hook-laced pop punk that rouses in energetic anthem form. Penetrating lyrics coupled with a melodic, determined, forward-thrusting, loose-flowing yet tightly constructed sound, it approaches the personal through an exuberant filter, deflecting the guttural punch. Speaking of excellent self-titled releases, Year Of Glad’s riff & rumble jolt combines with multiple-fronted, harmony-textured vocals causing equilibrium. Adding to this already interesting equation, garage-pop quartet Marge, whose rough-around-the-edges instrumentation, melds with softer-spoken sincerity. Tamar Dart, a.k.a.
