Circuit des Yeux (Haley Fohr) and Matador Records have released a live EP called "Live From Chicago". The EP features four songs, “Vanishing,” “Dogma,” “Sculpting the Exodus,” and “Stranger” for her 2021 album io.

These recordings document how Fohr's compositions transform when performed live, and for this performance she was joined by Whitney Johnson (Matchess), Andrew Scott Young, and Ashley Guerrero.

Circuit des Yeux will be touring for most of the summer and fall and will be performing at Constellation on June 16th and 17th.

Flutist & Multi-Instrumentalist Em Spel has released the second single, "Names", from her forthcoming debut album, The Carillon Towers, which is due out on May 20th.

Spel, a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, enlisted the help several of the City's finest musicians including V.V. Lightbody, Katinka Kleijn, Eric Ridder and Matt Oliphant to help on this project.

Experimental rock trio Imelda Marcos has released a new EP called "Albularyo". This is the first EP from Dave Cosejo and Matt Durso since adding vocalist Donna Diane (also of Djunah).

The group also released a video for the EP's first two tracks "forbidding gestures" and "year of contortion".

You can help Imelda Marcos celebrate the release of their EP on May 9th at Empty Bottle with Moritat and Courtesy. They will also be performing on June 10th at Empty Bliss.

Local abstract percussionist Quin Kirchner has teamed up with France-based pianist Rob Clearfield to create a new album called "Concentric Orbits" which was released via Astral Spirits/Spacetone Records on April 1st.

The duo have worked together in past with Clearfield appeared on Kirchner's 2020 album The Shadows and The Light.

You can catch Kirchner performing as part of Hanging Hearts with Chris Weller and Cole Degenova at The Whistler on April 13th and on April 15th as a member of the Rob Clearfield Quartet at Fulton Street Collective.
