Pale Mare - Heavy Ass Stoner Metal East Coast Tour

Toronto heavy metal fellas Pale Mare are taking their show on the road. They’ll be rippin’ their loud sludgey grooves out on the East Coast this spring. In 2017 they released their debut EP through Medusa Crush Records which features 3 tracks including “Descolada” which brings the heat right away with deep stoner riffs. Just some real heavy shit all around. Pale Mare have aleady shared the stage with many well-known metal bands and this’ll be your chance to see ‘em up close this spring. They kick off their tour in Toronto at Coalition on April 19th before heading east in early May. – Kris Gies

This is the work of Fabio Brienza (Vocals, Guitars), Joel Hollis (Guitars), David Swanson (Drums), and Bryan Gold (Bass). They recently released the epic, nearly 12 minute, title track that you can stream below.

You can catch Varaha at Reggie’s on April 26th with Dusk, Withering Soul, and Dismalimerence.

Weekend Warrior, March 29 - 31

Light up, and head on out to High Reeper’s record release this Sunday at Johnny Brenda’s. The local ensemble fearlessly dives head first into multiple chasms of the metal genre, while keeping true to its stoner roots and retro 70’s aesthetic. The quintet’s riff-tastic LP is a fine example of why Philly's underground sounds can't be put in a box. High Reeper will also be joined at the beloved Fishtown watering hole by celestial beings Green Meteor and NYC hard rockers Mick’s Jaguar. So feel free to bang your head, and let those locks/freak flags fly! – Alexis V.
