New Track: "Out of Context" (Feat. Allison Crutchfield & Joseph D'Agostino) - Field Mouse

Field Mouse just shared another new track from their forthcoming LP Episodic, due out August 5 via Topshelf Records. "Out of Context," which premiered over at SPIN, closes out the album, and features contributions from Allison Crutchfield (Swearin') and Joseph D'Agostino (Cymbals Eat Guitars). The band is currently scheduled to play next in Philly on Thursday, August 4 at Boot & Saddle with Swanning and Missing Earth, before heading off on a national tour with Cymbals Eat Guitars from mid-September into October.

Weekend Warrior, June 24 - 26

Though The Spirit of the Beehive had some van trouble on their current tour, they’ll still be rolling into town this evening at The Foundry. The shoegaze-y grunge crew has been on the road in support of Superheaven’s final tour. (I’m really looking forward to their upcoming release via Jade Tree.) And they have been joined by fellow Philly grunge-psych rockers Creepoid, who have been taking this opportunity to get more comfortable with their new guitarist Bill Fries (of Drone Ranger). It’s going to get heavy upstairs in the Fillmore tonight - #bringweed! The Foundry, 1000 Frankford Ave., 8pm, $15, 21+ - Alexis V.

The Deli Philly's Featured Artist(s) Poll Winner: Grayling

Lexi Campion first emerged on the Philly music scene as part of math-y indie-rock outfit Edelweiss. She has since moved on to her own project, writing and releasing songs under the moniker Grayling. Campion shared her debut EP Everything That Burns, via NDE Records, earlier this year, grabbing our attention with its emotively powerful vocals and compositions, which surely helped to lead her to victory in our Featured Artist(s) Poll. Check out our recent interview with the burgeoning artist HERE!

New Track: "Edible Complex" - Ghost Gum

After releasing an impressive demo in 2014 and being part of a 4-way split release last year with Mumblr, Loose Tooth, and Clique, Ghost Gum is back with a joyous new track called "Edible Complex". It's the first single off their upcoming debut record, The Past, The Future, Dwelling There Like Space, which is due out later this year. The album was recorded at Headroom and Big Mamas Studios with ex-Dangerous Ponies Kyle Pulley, Evan Bernard, and Chris Baglivo.

RLYR

The debut album from RLYR, Delayer, comes out this Friday, June 17th. RLYR is a super-trio of sorts consisting of Steven Hess (Locrian), Colin DeKuiper (Bloodiest, ex: Russian Circles) and Trevor Shelley de Brauw (Pelican). You can preorder the album through Magic Bullet Records here.

You can catch RYLR at Beat Kitchen with Cloakroom and Electric Hawk on June 26th.
