Best of LA #24 Spindrift to play the Prospector March 11th

The seven piece band, Spindrift has married the grit of the wild west with the mind altering effects of psych rock. The union has proven to be a great one, as seen in their latest album The West.  They are on tour this month, stopping in Long Beach on the 11th and The Redwood Bar in LA on the 26th.

Knock in the 'Wood

This Thursday night at Hollywood's 3 of Clubs, Rumspringa's rollicking rhythms will cause many heads to inadvertently bob and many hips to inexplicably gyrate. If you've never seen this L.A. duo live, then it's about time you experience post-psychedelic, R&B-inspired rock that smacks of The Doors and Velvet Underground-- only made for this generation's 20-somethings who want to live in the moment... whatever that means. Just come. They'll be joined by Beaters and Twin Tigers. The Deli LA will be there too-- handing out mags, taking photos and soaking up the sound waves.

Selected artists for Music Tech Mashup Party.

The organizers of the Tech Mashup Party have selected the 3 artists that will play at their show in Austin during SXSW. The lucky ones are LA alt rock band Voxhaul Broadcast (in the picture), Austin indie rockers Red Leaves, and NYC singer Songwriter Dion Roy - congrats to them and thanks to all the bands that submitted through The Deli!

New Video by The Raveonettes: Heart of Stone

Dum Dums Girls to Play Echo Curio April 18th

Listening to Dum Dum Girls is a very effective way to time travel back to the 1960s.  This four piece band draws comparisons to girl groups of yore, but with a bit more grit.  With songs entitled "Catholicked", "Don't Talk to Me" and "Jail La La", these ladies inject a bawdy sense of humor into their catchy pop songs.  Dee Dee, Jules, Frankie Rose and Bambi are currently touring the country, undoubtedly entrancing the American masses.
