New Apt A Album Available for Streaming & Purchase

The trio of your most defiant neighbors in Apt A recently shared its second release, Apt B. Voicing an internalized monologue, the songs serve as an earnest, snarky look into the band's daily observations. Speaking into a noisy and, at times, chaotic void, the recordings have a bluntness that hits the mark in humorous fashion. You definitely don't want to fuck with Apt A. Or do you?

New Track: "Urgent Need to Leave" - Lightninging

Slick, far-reaching guitar lines, reinforced by splatterings of drums, create a sense of tension in motion on “Urgent Need to Leave,” courtesy of Philly four-piece Lightninging. The warmth of vocal harmony is countered by the sadness of a desire to depart. A controlled, combative, instrumental outpouring serves as scene-setting, mood-mimicking transitions. Channeling those feelings into fiery, doubled up, guitar bursts, the heaviness of the moment plays out in a melancholy manner.

New Track: "Class Killer" - Josh Levinsky & The Schmoos

A new single, “Class Killer,” recently arrived via Josh Levinsky & The Shmoos. The song occupies a conversational tone as lines are punctuated by backend exclamations. Opposing viewpoints are traded back & forth as a thoughtful aggression is released.

Final Mumblr Album Available for Streaming & Purchase

Philly quartet Mumblr appears to have released its swan song, Genie. The band continues to create a diverse, intriguing sound. Expressing vulnerability and volatility, these songs engage with their melodic yet menacing/fragile/frenetic/funky tones. Casual, observational lyricism makes quick, gravitational shifts, instilling urgency. Ranging from calm to crushing, there’s a poetic, unabashed strength that leaves a lasting impression. Thanks for being original and kicking ass, fellas!

New Track: "Pluto" - So Totally

in the shape of..., the forthcoming album from So Totally, is scheduled to arrive on May 3, and the band recently shared its lead single “Pluto”. An initial, luminous glide creates a sense of lightness that gradually gives way to the afterburners of murkier fuzz. There is a relatable outlook within the spacey, shoegazing framework - one of feeling temporarily lost and out of sorts among your peers, while wanting the comfort of attention as you drift off.
